I love what I do for a living here. The Ketchikan and Southeast Alaska real estate market is unique, just like our inter-island coastal environment. We have limited inventory, and an amazing culture of people that will make the best out of what we have.
I moved to Ketchikan, Alaska in 1988 from Chelan, Washington (where I continue to visit family every summer.) Dedicated to my community from an early age, you may have met me when I babysat your kids, bagged your groceries at A&P, made your coffee (or other yummy beverage) at B & D, or perhaps around town, refereeing soccer games or acting with First City Players. After graduating from Ketchikan High School in ’01, I moved to Cheney, WA to begin (& complete) my secondary education at Eastern Washington University: graduating with a Bachelor’s degree of English with an emphasis in Technical Communications.
I love this town. I love living in this town, I love leaving this town. I love recreating here, I love relaxing here. I love that I grew up here, and spent my summers in Lake Chelan, Washington. I love that my husband is from here; that our children will be raised here like we were, exploring nature. I love the incredible network of family and friends that I have here. I even don’t mind the rain (which averages over 12 feet a year!)
After college I returned to Ketchikan with my marketing business (U Need Media Arts,) and picked up a position as the local director for Big Brothers Big Sisters. I was recruited about a year later to the executive director position for a statewide non-profit called Critical Care Incorporated. There I continued to develop my time, business, and management skills. I also taught group fitness classes for over 5 years and decided to follow my passion for helping people achieve their goals. I started Liberty Fitness, etc in May 2008.
I am now a blessed wife (to Chris,) and mother of 3: Avaka Joan, Cody Wayne, and Zerek Zane. I am as passionate about my work as I am about my family. I was honored to join the Re/Max of Ketchikan team in June of 2011, where they fostered my learning and growth until 2015. In June 2015, I earned my Broker’s license and set out to build my team. Miranda has found her new home in Ketchikan with her husband, Captain Clayton Moore and their two children, Annabelle and Sam. Closing in on ten years in Alaska, Miranda’s career path began in Texas, where she received her Associate’s Degree in Landscape Design with a heavy concentration in architectural drafting. She has fine-tuned her keen sense for special relationships to fit a much needed niche of the local real estate market. In addition to her new real estate profession, she continues to be an integral part of their family fishing charter business, Bella Misty Fishing Charters, as well as their newly acquired indoor storage facility, Moore Storage. While she is first a wife and busy mother, Miranda enjoys being a volunteer Cub Scout leader, and spending any remaining time cooking and developing recipes to serve their charter fishing clients. Her warm and approachable personality, along with her design skills, will prove to be an asset in the Ketchikan real estate environment.
Christina joined the Providence Properties team as a licensed Sales Partner in April 2016. Involved in Real Estate for many years, through her love and extensive knowledge and training of architecture, business, interior design, and technology: her expertise in Residential Design and Building helps clients envision how they could live in existing spaces, renovate homes to better suit their needs and stage homes prior to sale.
Originally from Michigan, Christina’s family moved to Ketchikan in 1982. She graduated from Ketchikan High School then flew south to attend college and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design. Next she worked on the East coast as a designer in Residential, Commercial and Contract Design with an emphasis on Commercial and Contract in the Hospitality fields such as Hotels and Restaurants. Her experience gives her the know-how to assist business clients in envisioning, selecting, negotiating and purchasing their new investment properties, which also make her a valuable asset.
Once again family, specifically her beloved daughter Tressa’s love of Ketchikan, brought her back to its magnificent scenery and people. She met her husband Gary, a native of Ketchikan for generations, and also gained the addition of his two children Ashley and Tyler. She has worked with many wonderful people as she fulfilled her other professional interest of computer science. She worked in the Data Processing (IT) department at the City of Ketchikan for more than 10 years. While there she performed various duties that included keeping up with the rapidly changing field of technology (some of which were webmaster, she was also certified as an A+ and Net+ technician which enabled her to assist the many departments of the City with their various technical necessities.)
Then again family changed her course, not to leave Ketchikan but to re-ignite her creativity and passion for real estate. Combining the talents and experience of her family members they formed Towne Enterprises LLC and began purchasing, remodeling and building properties they sell or retain for income property, including long term and short term vacation rentals in our hospitality market. This passion combined with the influence of others and the opportunity to help clients realize their dreams and goals led her to pursue an additional career as a licensed Real Estate professional in the great state of Alaska.
Christina enjoys the friendliness’ of our community; especially the many talents and kindness of the members. “It’s a small community with a BIG heart and potential; a great place to live or invest in!”
